Mountain View, CA (December 10, 2007) – PureWave Networks announced today the addition of two deeply respected industry veterans to its Board of Directors. Eric Benhamou and Bo Hedfors were both elected to the Board bringing the number of directors to five.

Eric Benhamou is chairman and CEO of Benhamou Global Ventures, LLC. Benhamou Global Ventures, started in 2003, invests and plays an active role in innovative high tech firms throughout the world. Mr. Benhamou is also the chairman of the board of directors of 3Com Corporation. He is an adjunct professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise at INSEAD. He served as chairman of the board of directors of Palm, Inc. from 1999 until 2007 and as chief executive officer of Palm from 2001 until 2003. Benhamou served as chief executive officer of 3Com Corporation from 1990 until 2000. Previously, he held a variety of senior management positions at 3Com. In 1981, Mr. Benhamou co-founded Bridge Communications, an early networking pioneer, and was vice president of engineering until its merger with 3Com in 1987.
He currently serves as chairman of the board of Cypress Semiconductor and as a member of the board of RealNetworks, Inc and of Silicon Valley Bancshares. He serves on the board of directors of several privately held companies, and serves on the board of the New America Foundation, a Washington DC-based think tank. Mr. Benhamou serves on the executive committee of TechNet and of the Computer Science and Telecommunications Board (CSTB).

Bo Hedfors, a native of Sweden, has 39 years of global telecom experience in both wireline and wireless. Previously, Bo was Executive Vice President of Motorola and President of its global wireless infrastructure business based in Chicago. He came to Motorola in 1998 from Ericsson, where he spent 30 years in different management positions. Among them, president of Honeywell Ericsson Development Co. in Anaheim, California 1984-1986; Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of LM Ericsson in Stockholm, Sweden 1990-1993; President and CEO of Ericsson, Inc. in Dallas, Texas 1994-1998. Bo is a member of the board of the following public companies: Tellabs in Illinois, Openwave in California and SwitchCore AB in Sweden. He is also on the board of two private companies: Silicon Valley-based Kineto Wireless and Firetide, Inc. Bo has served as advisor to Sun, Compaq and HP and is currently engaged as an advisor to both small private and large public communications companies worldwide.
