OverviewPureMax™ Smart Antenna technology delivers dramatically superior range and capacity. It utilizes an array of up to 6 antennas to automatically focus radio energy specifically on the receiving client, thus increasing the gain while cancelling surrounding interferences.

In addition to beamforming, PureMax employs a number of powerful techniques that allow PureWave Quantum base stations to deliver unmatched performance. PureMax technology is completely transparent to the client and can be used with any standard wave-2 subscriber station.

Technology Advantages:
  • Extend range
  • Increase capacity
  • Cancel interference
  • Eliminate network planning
  • Slash operational costs

Frequency reuse n=1
PureMax™ Smart Antenna technology supports frequency re-use n=1 both between sectors and between adjacent base stations. This advanced and innovative solution optimizes spectrum utilization and virtually eliminates the need for channel planning.

SDMAPureMax™ utilizes uplink Spatial Division Multiple Access (SDMA), a technique for creating multiple radio beams at the same time and on the same radio frequency to multiple subscriber units. This effectively multiplies spectral efficiency while remaining completely transparent to the client and can be used with any standard wave-2 compliant subscriber station.

Software defined radioPureWave products use a flexible, software defined radio architecture. This allows our customers to add features and functionality to base stations already deployed in the field, by means of an over-the-air software upgrade, with minimal disruption to their operations. This approach also allows operators to purchase only the product capability that they require, and grow the system as their business needs grow.

Integrated in-band backhaulPureWave base stations offer an optional, integrated in-band backhaul, which allows base stations to wirelessly backhaul their own traffic without requiring dedicated backhaul spectrum. Compared to a separate microwave backhaul link, integrated in-band backhaul reduces the cost, expedites deployment and simplifies network operations.
